The Jones Group has appointed George Sharp as executive vice president of design, a newly created position. Sharp will report to chief creative officer Stefani Greenfield and will work across all brands.

Having more than 25 years of creative experience, before joining The Jones Group, Sharp worked as the Creative Director and Executive Vice President of Design for St. John where he oversaw every aspect of the brand’s creative direction worldwide. Prior to St. John, Sharp was Vice President of Design for Ellen Tracy.
“George is an exceptional talent who brings tremendous experience and knowledge to The Jones Group,” said Greenfield. ”He will work closely with all of our brands to ensure that great design leads the process by which our brands enter the market.”

Earlier this year, the company established the fashion office with the appointments of Wendy Hirschberg Clurman as Vice President & Fashion Director of Jones New York, Danielle de Marne as Vice President & Fashion Director of Designer & Contemporary Brands and Amanda Ross as Consulting Fashion Director of Anne Klein.
